General Description: The life Odric once had was taken in one night. Odric was a quite, happy man living with his wife and three children as a gravedigger at a Fringe Land cemetery until the village was visited by a witch-doctor who took lodging at Odric's house to practice his trade-communion with the dead. One night, a week after the witch-doctor had taken up lodging, Odric awoke to find himself tied to a post in the center of a magic circle with his wife and children similarly tied up in smaller adjacent circles and in front of him was the witch-doctor. The witch-doctor wove a seal in the air and Odric's family was engulfed in eiry white-blue flames that engulfed and consumed them completely. once the flames had consumed his family they followed the runes till they reached Odric in the center and began burning him. The last thing Odric remembers of that night in the witch-doctor quietly walking out his door. When Odric awoke he found himself in complete darkness. Dazed, Odric felt his way to what he believed was a door and pushed it open. Blinded by the sunlight, Odric stumbled forward out of the dark room where he heard a scream. Looking to where the scream came from Odric saw the towns baker sprawled on the ground with offerings to the dead (food, incense, flowers) scattered around his person. The most intense expression of fear played across his face as, with a trembling finger pointed at Odric, he stuttered, "B-b-b-but you're d-d-d-dead!" Bewildered Odric stepped towards the baker. "NO! stay away from me!" Screeched the baker as he pulled out a knife and plunged it into Odric's heart. Stumbling back Odric stood agasp as he observed the knife in his heart, the knife he could not feel. The baker quickly ran away leaving Odric. Later Odric discovered he had been turned into an undead (zombie) by the witch-doctor and denied eternal sleep. Conviction to enact justice upon the witch-doctor has become the drive for his second life.
